Beyond Medicine . . . . To Good Health

                                                                                 Cosmic Health
Cosmic Health Management system concept for the 21st century

The Core elements of the concept include:

1) Mod-life. Cosmic Health Improvement Plan (CHIPS)
This plan is designed to place the demand for health care under the control of the individual. The plan includes an evaluation of the mental, physical and social aspect of individual health needs based on the definition of health by the world health organization. This Plan is an individualize plan applicable to groups that sets holistic health goals based on a health indicator system .This index of (14) fourteen indicators includes:

MODLIFE INDEX OF HEALTH INDICATORS HEALTH ASSESSMENT
The assessment of attititudes towards health is the first step in improving health.

BODY COMPOSITION (BMI EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 30,MALE WAIST EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 40 , FEMALE WAIST EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 35 WAIST HIP RATIO .8)
The accumulation of central body fat is a risk factor for the Metabolic Syndrome.

TOTAL BODY FAT EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 20 % MALES :25 % FEMALES Total Body fat is a risk factor for obesity related diseases. TRIGLYCERIDE 150 mgms /dl FASTING The lipid faction that comprises 90% of the fat in the body. They make up the substance in the adipose tissue. . They produces fatty acids.

TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LOWER THAN 200 mgms /dl FASTING
Found only in animal tissue. They are derived lipid. They are required in the building of plasma membranes, precursor in the synthesis of Vitamin D and the adrenal gland hormones as well as estrogen ,androgen, and progesterone. It plays a roll in the formation of bile.

LDL CHOLESTEROL EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 100
Low density lipoproteins are “bad cholesterols” They are remnants of the Very low density cholesterols. The have the affinity for the arterial wall. The carry 60-80% of the total serum cholesterol .This cholesterol sticks to the wall of the vessels ,goes through oxidation and proliferation of smooth muscle which is then calcified to plaque. This complex obstructs blood flow.

HDL CHOLESTEROL EQUAL TO OR ABOVE 40
High density lipoproteins are “good cholesterols”. They act as scavengers in the reverse transport of cholesterol by removing it from the arterial wall and transporting it to the liver where it is converted to bile and excreted by the GI tract.

HCT. 40 % HGB 13MGMS/DL FOR MALES.
The ability of the body to transport and use oxygen and eliminate carbon dioxide. This transaction is the cornerstone of energy production.
HCT 36% 12 MGMS/DL FOR FEMALES
Same as for men.

BLOOD PRESSURE (135/80) OR BELOW AT REST
The blood pressure is an indicator of a healthy toned cardiovascular system. Too much pressure on the wall of the vessels implies an out of balance cardiovascular system and is instrumental in indicating the onset of diseases.
PULSE RATE EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 80 AT REST.
The pulse is a component of the heart blood output. This along with the stroke volume of the heart determines the amount of blood that can be delivered to the vital structures of the body.

VO2 MAX. NORMAL FOR AGE 2.2 TO 3.5 L/min .
The VO@ max is an indicator of the body’s ability to generate energy under maximal or submaximal demands. This depends on the body’s ability to transport oxygen and convert substrate through the metabolic process of energy production.

BLOOD GLUCOSE EQUAL TO OR LOWER THAN 110mgms/dl FASTING
The blood glucose is a source of energy for the body. It is the only source used by the brain. Accumulation of blood glucose without proper utilization is a form of diabetes.

O2 SATURATION EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN 94 %. AT REST
The O2 saturation is a measurement of the percentage of oxygen contained in the red cells of the body in real time. If these elements are maintained within normal limits, risk for poor health decreases significantly. Each person should have a clinical evaluation, laboratory measurement and a statistical analysis of these indicators.

CANCER SCREENING
In addition to the above indicators, cancer screenings will be done of the colon, breast and cervix. Colon exams with the 40 cm fibroptic sigmoidoscope will be done during the colonics.

2) Health Access Protection Program.{CHAPS}
This program offers access to health care for small independent businesses, community organizations , public service employees ,individuals and groups via the internet. Studies have shown that 25% of the 42 million plus people in America with no insurance are workers. The conventional wisdom has equated quality health and health care with the financial ability to access the health care delivery system. If an individual does not have insurance, they are relegated to the emergency department of hospitals or long waits in getting to see private doctors or long rides and/or waits in public community health centers or at worse dangerous delays in seeking care. For working people, to miss a day seeking health care is a day missed from school or work. For a socio-economic class that cannot afford to miss either, the alternative is to seek a higher cost service center such as an emergency department or delays in seeking care or the avoidance of care all together in a timely manner. The need for an alternative system is evident. The Cosmic Health Access Protection Program( CHAPS) has the following quality features:
  • Prevention
  • Early Detection
  • Early intervention

Monitoring The quality delivery process includes:

  • Primary Care Internet (e-visits) visits
  • Mod-Life ™ life style modification and therapeutic life style change plans.
  • Discount pharmaceutical Plan
  • Pharmacy Compounding Plan
  • Stress Management
  • Individual and Group Progress Reports

This system will allow small independent businesses to serve as a catalyst for access to true health by allowing employees to actively participate in their health preservation as opposed to paying exorbitant amounts of premium money to insurance company while they wait to get sick.
